About
My name is Pal Chen, though most of my guests simply call me Chen. I was born into a humble farming family near Siem Reap, where the rhythms of rice planting and the quiet strength of the land shaped my early life.
For twenty years, I lived as a Buddhist monk, a path of reflection, discipline, and deep spiritual connection. That time taught me to walk gently, speak softly, and listen deeply. Today, I carry those lessons with me as a guide, a husband, and a father.
I now live with my wife and young child, and in the off-season, I still farm a small plot of rice to support my family. My connection to the land is not just practical, it is spiritual. Every path I walk, every temple I visit, is part of a living story that I feel honoured to share.
As a tour guide at Angkor Wat, I offer small, intimate tours designed for those who seek more than just sightseeing. I don’t raise my voice over crowds, instead, I guide you through quiet corners, hidden carvings, and stories that live beneath the surface. My tours are agile, personal, and deeply rooted in history and spirit.
I believe that travel is not just about seeing, it’s about feeling. And I hope that when you walk with me, you’ll feel the soul of Cambodia: its beauty, its sorrow, its resilience, and its grace.
